With a kinked up and destroyed piece of stock trim, I had a vision to fill the previous holes on the decklid meant for that piece of trim and thought maybe I could fabricate a wing to help fill in that area where trim should be. With the angles of the decklid, I wasn't sure I could get a flat wing mounted. Since it's a Ratty Barracuda, I thought maybe this will work and I thought I'd try. I think it turned out pretty well all things considering. Started with a 1" x 1" 90 degree aluminum trim piece, marked the holes, bent at the middle then secured to the decklid with some fancy screws and trim, then mocked up a wing in masonite. Once mocked up, I made a proper one in aluminum, then secured with rivets.
