Sun Visors: The Fix That Shouldn't Have Been Necessary

Got these sun visors for Big Red as a Christmas gift, and what seemed like a quick and easy upgrade turned into a two-month ordeal.

Right away we ran into a problem: the angle on the visors was completely off, blocking nearly the entire windshield. Since we picked them up from Classic Industries, I filed a support ticket and waited a few weeks. They sent a replacement pair... which had the exact same issue.

That's when we hit a swap meet and grabbed an OEM bracket/bar. It fit perfectly, which confirmed this wasn't a mistake on our end or anything quirky about the truck. The parts themselves were just wrong. When we went back to Classic Industries with that info, they basically said there was no fix available, but we could keep them and get a full refund.

Well, if I'm keeping them anyway, why not experiment? I started slowly bending the mounting bracket, testing the fit, then bending a little more. Figured if they broke, no big loss. But it actually worked. After going back and forth on both sides, I finally got them sitting where they needed to be. Not perfect, but close enough, and honestly better than I expected given where we started.

Also another thing to note, with the boards.  Don't try and use these on a factory bracket/bar, the diameter of the hole is smaller. So you'll have a hard time trying to get it onto the OEM bar.
