I've got another matching Phoenix Gold amplifier to add to my system (4 channel to run front and rear stage), and that means I have to build a new amplifier rack!

The current rack is absolutely amazing, and was built using wood. However, I wanted to make it more custom-molded this time around without going the fiberglass route.

I designed everything in CAD and split it into 12 individual segments, sized so I can print each one on my Bambu Lab H2S. I also added interlocking tabs on each piece so it all only goes together one way (with some glue).

I'll be printing two complete versions of the rack... The first will be using PETG material with the purpose of ensuring the perfect fit in the car (and I can make any final detailed changes to the design as needed at that time). PETG is a great material and can withstand temperatures of up to ~ 185 degrees. However, in a hot vehicle with Arizona sun, that's just not good enough.

Therefore after I confirm everything is perfect, I'll be printing the final version using an extremely high-temperature carbon fiber nylon material called PAHT-CF (withstands temperatures up to 380 degrees). That material is stupid expensive so I want to make certain I only do it once.

I am printing the first one now, and hope to have it all together for testing in a week or so.

NOTE: In the images here, the red is only to illustrate the angled faces where each amplifier will be mounted. The whole thing will actually be created in solid black material and carpeted in the end.
