I don't buy into amp "sound" either, aside from perhaps the flawed-by-choice 8W home audio tube amps of the world that make their money off of the "warmth" the clipping produces. I hate retail audio snake oil.

Genesis amps are built so well. You're buying for the build quality more than sound. I'm pretty much sold on ARC in that regard, very well built amps, priced pretty reasonably for what components you're getting.

Imitation is the highest form of flattery.

So thanks bill, at least your taste is getting better.

You set yourself up for that one. So are you going to run the larger supremmo or the piccallo?

This has been a hot topic over the last year.

Ive come to realize the truth in the matter. A watt is a watt and if EQ the exact same you will hear no difference between amps. Fact remains that between amps though you would have to EQ them to get them the same, so besides power output that states there is some tonal issues at play.

Thats why nobody can take Richard Clarks money. If it was strictly power to power and all else was left to be, he would be out some money.
