I was looking at the 12s and 15s. I still like my bass, but I want to get back some of my Jeeps cargo space. The 12s recommend about .6 enclosure and the 15s about 2. As much as I'd like to go with the 15s just for the bass of it all, I think I'll end up with 12s to save on space. I've got lots of time to research subs though. I'm not in a hurry for those at this point. I just want to finish my doors. Friggin' paypal. Thanks Sinister for the hookup.

hell i would go with 2 ur15s keep the bass turned down a little and put that thing in a nice low ported box around 28/29hz and what it shake them up and sound so beautiful itll make you cry.

I liked them when all was trying to do was be loud. The only reason I was originally wanting to keep them was to save some money. They're the newest part of my current system. My amp I've been using for about 7 years now. It's been in and out of four or five vehicles. My HU is at least as old as the subs. Anyway, I've decided to NOT cut any corners on the Jeep this time around. I'm still leaning toward two subs so when I want to show some punk at a stop light what bass really feels like, I can demonstrate. Everybody likes a little extra base now and then.

i knew someone would get a kick out of that comment. but that pretty much discribes the out put from them. i would look at getting a ur12/ur15 they look very very tastey and they will sound even better than they look. i wish they still made the x12 i read a review on it once and it was said "if there was ever a perfect sub that this would be it by far" i always talk to Pinny and try to get him to find me one but he said he cant.

Since you are willing to spend the cash, I highly recommend that you talk to sinister about DLS amps & subs... great stuff... quite the force in SQ competitions.

Well, I like things to match so which ever amp I get I want my front stage and sub amps to match. I was looking at Elevation amps. The 80x4 for the front and the other one for the sub/subs. That's completely not set in stone though. I know there are a lot of good amps out there. I'm not done shopping yet. My system works right now but barely. The front stage is top on my list to fix. Then I'd like to do the subs and amps in one shot since the building will involve them both. Then deck. I also just found out I'm deploying in Jan so I might not get past the front stage until I get back.

I'd like a good 12" or even a 15" I guess. I know I don't have to spend 1k on subs to get a good system going back there. But again, it tends to be what ever it takes. As for power, since the amps haven't been bought yet, how ever much I need to push what ever I buy will be what I get. I don't plan on rebuilding the Jeep system for a while once I get this done.

I still have to buy an exaust header, cat back system, power chip, differentials, ring&pinions, bumpers, winch, etc.

i was thinking about suggesting differnt subs before because you were going pretty deeply into a very very nice sq front stage and then you would be stuck with the ass cannons in the back. how good of a 12" do you want and whats your price range? and how much juice do you have to power them?

I think the Scan-Speaks are winning the battle. (D2904/6000-00) As much as I'd like to go with a larger more home-speakerish driver, I just don't have the space. I could create it I suppose, but it would have to come from somewhere and a Jeep Cherokee just doesn't have much space to give up. I'd loose too much comfort putting anything in the kick panel. So, I'm restricted to the doors alone. Two focal mids and the scan-speak tweets will fit much easier and should sound plenty good. I believe I've figured out the efficiency of the drivers and power output of the amps so the front stage should be pretty well balanced. Now ... I'm considering replacing my kicker L7s for something more SQish. Probably a 12" or maybe two. For the days I want to throw in some Swisha House and annoy people stuck in traffic around me. :)

It's not that the LPG are all that & a bag of chips, but how close they get in performance to the expesive alternatives that makes them such a steal for the price...

In the end...I have to ask you... how good are your tuning skills? It will be a must & will make or break your results regardless of what you get...

I can tell you this... if you were impresed by B&O speakers, gimme a few days with your Utopias & the LPG tweeters & you'll swear you have never heard anything better...

Tuning is key & I see the the LPG are definitely inexpensive enough that if you break them it wont hurt that much...

I have these going into my Saturn & when I am done with the car, the same tweeters will replace the LPG 25nfa I am using in the truck.
