lol, sorry my bad.. you can't build door pods?

by audiofreak12 » Thu Jan 12, 2006 7:52 pm

He said that he can't put them in the doors, thats no option for him.

by mcaudio » Thu Jan 12, 2006 7:44 pm

you would probably end up sounding better with mids in doors, tweets in the a pillars, and a deck that will let you throw a little t/a at them. oh,yeah, not to mention run active. just my 2 cents

ok im back and have both hands so i can elaborate more...i would figure out the position you want the speakers in and then pull the windshield because this will make any adjustments easier once you start working then pull the dash, dry fit the windshield to make certain it all works together the way you want first though and then replace the dash and windshield.......of course since i have the tools to pull the windshield and reinstall it that makes it easy for me.........

i would take the windshield out once i had my lines of what i wanted and i love the way good speakers sound in the dash like that.....oh if you lose your airbag you or the shop that does it could be fined.....yea i know its your vehicle but we got a memo you would be surprised at the shops who got busted for that

now we are talking...unfortunately this car is also a daily driver...I am not sure I want to lose the passenger side airbag either...but that is a thought.

gut the whole dash out and make a glassed one with really nice imagining

by OnYrMrk » Fri Dec 23, 2005 12:48 pm

I wish if I hadn't just plunked down about a grand for these new components. Actually I have sort of a sponsorship from my shop and Focal is their best components. We are just beating up our minds trying to figure out how to get the best imaging possible for these speakers. Unfortunatly the dash is just about the best bet for us. maybe if we create a domeshaped...maybe glassed...speaker grill...hmmm

by sinister audio » Fri Dec 23, 2005 12:13 pm

you know where you can get a good deal on them though. hint hint

by OnYrMrk » Fri Dec 23, 2005 11:57 am

would be nice, but I don't have the luxury of DLS components.
