should i go with the d6's or d9's or the old tdx's

yea right id be lucky id be lucky enough to find a shop around here that just isint out to sell me something is always just puting down Sound equipment that they dont have in the shop.... Im from Rahway NJ so if anyone is from around there and know some nice shops i could check out let me know.

If yor have a lap top you can do a computer based for about 250. I just ordered the stuff for mine and I have about 350 in it (using some of the better equipment)

If you do a forum search (computer based RTAs) you will see my post about it along with a few others.

Or you can get an Audio Control RTA on ebay for like 300.

If your not planing on doing alot of stuff with it, I would call around and ask one of the local companies to RTA your car. There are a few guys on here with RTAs, so if your close, I am sure they would do it for you (probably pretty cheap too.)

Thats why I sugested the RTA. Once you do one box, and see how the speaker reacts to the interior, it will be easer to design the second to match the car.

Hay steven if your really serious about SQ you might consider doing a basic box built to manufactor spec, and then checking your car with an RTA to determin the best box size. Once you get an good look at how your cabin gain affects the subs output, you can use WINISD, or BassBox pro to design the box.

on there web site they have the sizes of boxes that i guess they say u should use but i donno if i should do that or not?

we were all there once Steven...I don't know what size ported boxes can get, but I do figure that about 1.5cuft-2.0cuft might be sufficient per 12 sealed. But I am not a box-buildin fool like most of these guys here. Mine is just a rough estimate.

well soppose i were to get 2 12 d6's and i went with a ported box how big should i be and if i were to go sealed how big should that be? Please dont find me annyoing im just new to this and trying to learn some more

but the loose there sq at anything above 36-38hz of course thats dependant on the box.

yea I like those subs...very smooth sound
