That's what I'm thinking, I checked and double checked my wiring. And like I said earlier I've been running a Sherwood amp ever since this happened with no problems , just doesn't have the power I'm looking for. Thanx for all your help, was hoping there was some kind of internal fuse or something . ...

Yes,with speakers disconnected and also rca cables disconnected . Leaving just power, ground and remote wire on . As soon as I turn key goes right into protection .

P1000x5 stuck in protection mode???!!!
