Check into the 9887. That's their "newest" deck, it has time alignment and what not...oh yeah and that Imprint stuff is pretty damn cool. Ever set up a home theater with a mic? Well now you can do that in your car. w00t!

Anyone want to voice some opinions on the 9965? Looks pretty friggin cool to me!! There will be 2 video monitors in the car, and finally finding a headunit from alpine that is a DVD source without a screen and has good internals makes me VERY happy :) I get it for $750 :)

The 9887 is a bit out of my price range that I want to spend right now (Hell, I can afford the Pioneer Z2 if I really wanted it, infact i can get it for less than $900 right now, but I don't want to spend that type of money).

Hmmm Pioneer DEHP490IB retails for right at $199.99. I could get it to you for 10% less than that if you paid for shipping (around %7-8), for an overall saving of like $10. I'm the "Senior Salesman" at Ultimate Electronics locally, so if there's anything that's typical of a higher-end big name retailer that you want, let me know, I'll get ya 10-15% off for "Friends and Family" lol

I can get the DEHP690UB for $199, why would I want to step down to the DEHp490?

I get the Alpine 9885, on my discount, for $195, not sure what you get it for. But, I pay 5% over cost.

I can pick one up for my personal use for 179.15 through in store purchase, or $150 flat through dealer direct pricing. 179.15 is our cost, sounds like you're getting hosed.

Where do you work? The discount setup sounds like Best Buy's.
