Michigan made a BCS last year. Yes born in Tiffin, OH and raised in Clyde, OH left for few years for the military and now I'm back in OH. GO BLUE!!!!! I'm also a Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions fan.
Also, Michigans new coaches make me really excited. No more Mike Debord offense UGH!! and though I like Lloyd Carr no more of his non agressive playcalling. They are also getting a new Defensive Cooridinator who is quite agressive and focuses on getting turnovers.

TU(Tulsa) is the SMALLEST school in Division I-A Football, just over 4000 TOTAL enrollment. Now look at that accomplishment! They won 63-7 against Ball State

While I do enjoy rubbing that in to michigan fans too , I will say that Appalachian state wasn't exactly a joke team, they've won 3 championships in a row. Not that a division I team, especially Michigan, shouldn't beat that, but they didn't lose to a crappy team.
It doesn't surprise me that Tulsa did well. Gus Malzahn (was offensive coordinator at Arkansas during their 10-4 season) has helped the program out a lot and so has Herb Hand (TE coach from West Virginia). It takes a good coach to help Arkansas get to an SEC championship considering that their recruiting isn't as good as other teams in the conference. Put such coaches in Conference USA and it's not hard to predict a turnaround.

How has your defense been against the bigger schools? Just wondering about your Defensive Cooridinator. Are they well coached with technique, take good angles, keep contain, and fill their gaps etc.?
