Amp help

Post by Battousai »

I was at an audioshop and one of the installers said he could get me an amp with a warranty because he has his own shop also. It was an unfamilliar name called Ample audio here is a link http://www.ampleaudio.com/product3.html the one i was going to get was the A 1100DX what do you guys think?

I used to carry Ample and it's pretty decent equipment... In our Good, bad and ugly listing I'd rate it Good.

You think 349 is the right price for that amp?

If you can get it authorized with a warranty then yeah I'd say it was a hell of a deal since If I remember correctly that amp is around $600 MSRP.

wow well i was on ebay and came across this http://cgi.ebay.com/2000-WATT%2F1000w-R ... 0838a21816
159.95 and i'm wondering if that is a good deal. it comes with a 1 year warranty and it goes to 1 ohm. only thing is its a class ab and i' not sure what the difference between that and a class d.

Well I can tell you this much... Terry and I are both dealers for Quantum Audio and they are very good amps, BUT I can promise you that at that price that the ebay deal is NOT through an authorized dealer and has to be getting them through an alternate distrubutor, so be fair warned... If you can get the Exonic though an authorized dealer then I'd go that route just so you don't get burned... I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again... Ebay is great for used equipment at good prices, but I wouldn't trust them when it comes to knew because you may get burned as a few people here have already learned the hard way.

^from robert zeff himself
if your just going for a daily street beater i would just go for the d.
I have used both ab and d and honestly couldn't tell a difference, so to the untrained ear i doubt you would be able to notice a difference
