Hot Rod DOWN

Ouch.

It was parked facing the other direction in another spot. Some guy in a full size van parked in our parking. When he went to leave he put it into reverse and turned it while backing... right into the door.

my dad wasnt mad at all. odd...

Then he got mad when he read the police report. Guy claims he didnt see it/know it was there as the car wasnt parked in the parking lines. Trouble was he parked on private property that isnt required to have lines and the lines there dont mean anything... lol

Nice looking car...

Hopefully that damage only effects the door. It looks like he rocked it pretty hard. It'd be a shame if that bent the fender, quarter, rocker or even the frame - it'd make that thing a pain to straighten out.

Did your dad restore that car himself? Looks very nice

Your dad and I are farrrr different people (obviously)... I'd have taken it outta his head with a tire iron before I took him to court.

I hate to see a car like that damaged. It's really my dream to build one of those into a full custom car as well as an SQ machine.

I'm pretty sure I'd be coming after him with a blunt object as well... Especially if I put my time into the car to restore it.

I used to get so mad when people would set something on my new car, let alone scratch it - or do something like smash the door in.
