but yet he doesn't stand by it.

I think the guy can sell a car, but to sell me on the presidency...that is totally a different story altogether.

All political figures do.

My opinion on the candidates and their running mates:
Obama says what people want to hear and won't be able to back it up... He chose Biden so as to have someone next to him that shows experience with strong views (and also a big mouth).

McCain is your steriotipical politician stating that he wants what's best for the country, but when push comes to shove he'll look out for himself first... He chose Palin because she is a strong minded woman in attempt to pick up on the Hillary followers.

Keep in mind these are only opinion and the way I see it we're sunk for the next 4 years no matter which one takes office.
I've seen presidents come and go and they All have had their ups and downs, but I don't honestly believe in my heart that either of these candidates will do what's best for the country (even I hope I'm wrong), but for my vote I need a 3rd option.

OnYrMrk wrote:Yet when McCain states that he and Biden are friends, he leaves it at that. We all have shortcomings, but bashing your opponent every chance you get is manipulation. It is focusing on all the bad that he ( mccain ) does, instead of focusing on the good that you are doing. but I can see your point.
But if Mccain was going against Biden directly, I'm sure that he would be focusing a little more of the "bad" things Biden has done.

Mccain has no problem bashing Obama, just like Obama has no problem Bashing Mccain. Each team is trying to point out each other weaknesses, and theres no shortage of that on either end.

This election is like a boxing match, it doesnt matter how good you can defend yourself, you're probably going to lose unless you throw some punches back...

On a side a note, I think both Mccain and Obama did very well with tonights debates...

I don't really have a problem with Mccain, he'd probably be an ok president... But like I said before, Palin is trouble...

Many pro's, many con's, but i'll be easy in this thread.

One thing is for sure, i've watched the debates, and followed both campaigns for a while now, and can not give that lady a chance to become president.

NOPE !!

yeah, me too...

Just because we don't always agree doesnt mean we cant get along...

If I come across as an a-hole sometimes it's not because I'm trying to be, it's just sometimes I get a little carried away trying to make a point...

The one thing hat peeves me showed sparkling clear last night.

Obama lounged around very comfortably. McCain paced around taking notes ready to jump on Obama at every chance (excellent).

What really got me is Obama talks about "in my first term". As in he will be around for two. I dont like how he has this all thought out and planned, it really bothers me.

I think McCain fared well and drove the points home.
