head units with best radio reception

So what brands have the best reception? My last two aftermarket decks were way worse than the stock units at pulling in radio stations. im getting ready to buy a new deck to put in my truck, and want to get radio reception just as good as the stock deck.

well Pioneer has always had great reception with the SuperTuner series of FM/AM tuners
Eclipse is very good as well.
McIntosh is excellent, although most likely out of the price range you are looking for
I have heard that Clarion makes a good tuner as does Panasonic
I am not sure about JVC though.

i think any decent head unit should have good reception, provided the antenna in your car isn't missing or something.

true Falken but there are some units with better than average tuners.

JVC is not one of them. They aint terrible, but my HD radio tuner gets better reception. yes all antennas are routed thru the hd receiver...

thanks for the replys. In the past i had a decent alpine but it didnt tune in as good as the stock ford radios. My last deck was a pioneer and it had the same problem in a different car. Now i have a dodge truck and the reception is pretty good. I was thinking about maybe going kenwood. does anyone have any experiance with their decks? Im looking for something with a flip up monitor that could run a back up cam. any suggestions ?

if you were getting bad reception, did you forget to use an adapter for the antenna?

well i wouldnt have thought that an adapter was needed as the antenna plug was the same size as the plug in in the deck
