I have some good ones of an abandoned coconut plantation - the plantation house, some out buildings and even the cemetery. I'll have to scan them first since they're still 35mm prints. I took them at Diego Garcia in 1989 when the ship I was stationed on stopped there for supplies and fuel. A side of the atoll that most don't get to see, it's on the other side of the lagoon from the military base.

All of the masonry seen here is done from coral...

about an hour north of me in cincinnati they started a subway project sometime in probably the early to mid 1900's i would guess but they only built like 10 or 12 miles of it. you can see some of the tunnels from i75 when your rolling through and ive heard of people checking them out but quite honestly i wouldnt go wandering around becasue cincy is full of meth heads these days.

yea, if you do an image search of cincinnati unfinished subway all kinds of pics pop up. they even have a book now you can buy about the whole process and how and why it was shut down before it was finished. i think they do occasional tours of it as well. thies pic is from 2002
