Frustrating speaker problem

Hey,
I just bought two 6 1/2" Alpine type R speakers to replace my old Illusion Audio speakers for the front of the car (the rear ones are still Illusion Audio). The problem is, all of the speakres worked for a week or so, then they all stopped working and eventually, they worked again. But now, none of them work whatsoever but the deck (Pioneer DEH-8700) works fine as well as my 2 12" shiva subs. Please help.

do u have the interior speakers amped? deck power?

no, the speakers are amped by the deck...

sounds like you have a loose wire on one of your speakers and its grounding out or touching the + and -. or its behind the deck. or if they are all good id say your deck went out.

I noticed that one of the tweeter wires wasn't connected... could that have cause the deck to go out?

ya it could if one of the wires was being grounded or touching together.
