SQ subs?
Ive been looking for cheaper/older subs on ebay and have been going by the recommended list from the faq's section. Im guessing a lot of the subs I find are more aimed to SPL though? long excursion and huge motors, namely something like this:

Im looking for a good SQ sub. Dont plan on having more than a 200w eclipse amp to power one 10.
What are some older models that were popular subs that might be easy to find?

Why are you so intrested in Older Subs?
There are newer subs that can be had that will work on or around 200 WRMS.
Arc Audio ARC series, Ascendant Audio Atlas, Resonant Engineering RE series, Image Dynamics IDQ v.2, ID v.3, Elevation Audio Comp10 and others...
Right now you can get good deals on ID @ sound domain.com. Arc can be found at a local dealer. Ascendant can be bought online. RE can be bought at dealer or the Marshall @ Visionary Audio.

Funny thing is, if all you want is a single 10" sound quality subwoofer, they make one just for you. Check out the ARC Audio KAR 10" subwoofer. Not the extreme series, the normal series. They retail for $99 each and were recently ranked best budget subwoofer in it's class, and had the highest SQ rating. And works off of 200w RMS
Right up there with the ARC subwoofer is the Elevation Audio Comp subwoofer, equally as impressive, but newer so it doesn't have any reviews in magazine's or anything, but in my opinion every bit as good as the KAR subwoofers. They also retail for $99 new and handle 200w RMS.
If you live in the michigan area, I'm the only dealer for both brands, so look me up. Otherwise, try finding one close to you. That way you get a brand new sub that you don't have to worry about a past of abuse or anything.

Hrmmm might be in MI this christmas.
I saw that some RE10s went for 50$ without shipping on ebay earliar this month. I wouldn't mind waiting for a deal like that again. Im just starting this system so I have nothing. Not in a big rush to get anything.
Theres a Arc Audio dealer fairly close to me so I'll check them out. How would you guys rank the RE, Arc Audios, Eclipse sw6103, and a idq10v.2? Those are the subs it looks like I wouldnt have any problem getting a hold of. but the arc audio and eclipse subs are the only ones I'd have a chance to listen to =\
And one more question. Would it be worth it for me to go for a 12 rather than a 10? The additional space of a 12 over a 10 isn't a big deal to me.
