help!

i installed a ps2 and monitor in my car today and everything was all good. i disconnected my deck to remount it and now its sending random signals to my amps. basically, the subs pulse even with the volume off. wen i take off the signal cable, the pulsing stops so im guessing something in the deck is broken?? everything else works fine. anyway im taking it to get it checked tomorrow, but any input would be great. thanks

sounds like something is being grounded that shouldnt be. make sure that where the RCA's connect to your deck, the metal connection that is exposed doesnt touch anythings, wrap some tape around it or something.

also check to make sure that everything was hooked up correctly. make sure there are no bare wires that are loose either.

im 100% sure the rca's are fine. i even switched it out with a new one and it still did it. everything else is working perfectly. it seems to me lyk something in the deck itself is messing with the outputs.

did you wrap the RCA's in tape? because even if you pull it out and look at it, and they appear to be fine and not touching other metal or wires, when you put the HU back in some wires might scrunch up and touch.

i mounted the monitor in the center console and moved the radio out to the side under the glove box. trust me, nothing is touching. tho i wish it was -___-

I had a problem similar to that. My problems were that the RCA connectors that went into the amp were not tight enough. They would slide out slightly and what not. I fixed it by positioning the wires so that it would push on the connector. Hope that helps.

i took it to a repair shop today and they found that the signal outputs from the deck were burnt (no idea how that happened) but i got them replaced and it worked fine.
