sub problem

Hey im new to the whole installing thing. I just finished installing my first subs and amp. And i have encountered a problem. I get good bass inside the car, but when I go outside I dont hear nothing . am I doing something wrong, this is my first installation.

why would you want to hear it outside the car? so you can get a ticket?

If you don't hear it outside, it's a good thing. It means your car is reasonably well deadened and you're keeping the energy inside-where it belongs.

What have you installed? If you really wanna hear it outside of your car to "show off" do it at a reasonable time. At a reasonable place. In my city, you get impounded on the first offense. Because of dumbasses. So if you want it more loud, be respectfull to others too.

Hello,

I see you are new to the board. Dont take the guys misguided humor to serious.

Around here we dont care to help the people that are worried about the bass outside the car though...

It could be a few things:

1) The car is well made/sealed

2) The equipment is not "powerful' enough

3) Setup/Install/Tuning not done correctly

If you still want to know more let us have some more info (make model of car / subs / amp / rest of stereo), and we should be able to give you an idea of how it should sound.
