it was shelling apart and it was just one of them. but it was self destructing for no reasons. it was installed by the kicker dealer in one of the emploeys trucks and they brought here because they couldnt figure out what was happening to it. what i have seen of them they are crap but i guess others must have seen better out comes.
AMG Concept of Multi-Chamber Multi-Reflex Boxes with either single but especially two speakers in the set-up.
* Sealed part of the box means that SQ is tight punchy and fast.
* Ported part of the box = efficiency and is loud when it comes to SPL.
* Bandpass part of the box is low, very low, is not a one note wonder.
It has NONE of the bad points from simple sealed or simple ported designs. The outer chambers are loaded in such a way that they behave as if they are in a sealed chamber. These boxes also acts like a Bandpass box because of the multiply chamber configuration and calculations and this is a plus. If the centre chamber is being ported it treats each outer chamber as 6th Order Parallel Bandpass box and this enhances its efficiency and low bass abilities. If the outer chambers are being ported it treats the inner chamber as 6th Order Series Bandpass box and this enhances its efficiency and SPL abilities. The port noise problems that some boxes have is almost eliminated and the designs keeps the SQ and the SPL guys happy. In this design there are five chambers whereby the air is being forced almost transmission line style into the centre chamber and exits via a square port.

Looks like AMG has this enclosure design figured out.
Very not impressed :)
