Best Components/Coaxials for my setup

Custom Ported/Tuned box
Dual 2ohm Alpine Type R 12" Subs
Hifionics BX1605D 1600 watt Mono Amp.

Im looking to get a 4 channel Hifonics Amp (ZX4400 Zeus).

Is it right that I need the 6 1/2" Component 2-way speakers for the front and 6X9 Coaxial 3-way speakers for the rear?

What would be the best brand?
How do I know the wattage I need?

Im not looking to spend a ton, just whatever the best value is.

Yor right about the front, 6.5 components are the way to go. As for the rear I wouldn't run anything, and get a better amp and component set for the front. Now if your set on running rear speakers, I would look into some 6.5s, perferably set up for mid bass, or simply ran off the deck for a slight amount of rear fill.

As for brands, its more a matter of what you like, and not what we suggest. Yeah we can lead you in one direction or another depending on the sound you perfer, but ultimatly it comes down to how much you want to spend, and what sounds good to you.

For now I would check out the Good, bad, and ugly and start listening to some of the brands we suggest. Once you narrow things down some ($$$ or a sound you like) let us know and we can point you towards some "other" options.

The Amp, I can get for $155 shipped on EBay. Id like to spend $500 or less on the Amp, Components, and Coaxials. That leaves me with bout $175 for the Components, and $175 for the Coaxials.

Why dont you recommend getting the rear's?

I do already have the 300w Kenwood eXcelon KFC-X698 6X9's in the rear now.

In an Ideal sound stage you'd want all of the sounds to be in front of you, almost as if you're listening to a live performance. If you have a strong front stage there's really no need for rear fill. 6x9's are not the best speakers acoustically either. A set of 6.5" coaxials off the HU will do you fine if you think you need rear fill.

as everyone has said, front stage is more important than rear stage.. will you be in the backseat of your own car.. often? the reason why 6x9"s arent the best choice is well because of pressure points(and the above mentioned), anyway, focus on your front stage, and just power the rear speakers off the HU, unless you get midbass drivers then power them off the 4 channel amp.. anyway for fronts you want to be able to hear them more than the rear.. if you ever sit and Really listen to a system... you can tell where the most sound is coming from, and its annoying as hell to have it coming mostly from the rear... and well for me, sometimes i can tell if someone has stock speakers or aftermarket from the roll off of the highs and whatnot.. its just a certain sound i guess. while some speakers sound different, stock speakers just have a certain sound, i dunno how to explain it.. anyway im babbling.. sorry

no, as you stated... get the sub amp and the speaker amp... the speaker amp is to power the components(your front stage) and your rearfill.
