need some help picking out components..cdts?

Post by lotas »

well there's a guy on caraudio.com forums who is a dealer of CDT...he told me he can get me the ef-61cfi/25 for 200$...have any of you guys heard this set? i think they are around 500$ on CDT's website (which is probably the msrp)

right now i have the CDT -Cl61a's...they just arent enough for me. The tweeter is a bit harsh, and the midbass is clean, but it cant seem to keep up with the sub, even if i turn the sub way down.
do you guys think CL61's --- ef-61cfi/25 will be a night and day difference?

i'd also like some other reccomendations for speakers to look at. right now im flirting with the 200-300$ range, but im certainly flexible.

thanks

it seems like the midbass lacks too much. I have no rear speakers so thats all I hear basically is the CDTs...anyways it seems like all im listening to is the tweeter..so im gonna give upper end (well higher than the CL series) a shot...go cdt

If you don't like the CDT's you have now, why would you buy more?

why shouldnt he? in alot of cases the higher the class the better. if he wants to buy another set of CDT's then he should, you seem to have a poor attitude about things anymore.. :confused

er im sorry my CDT's i have now are damaged...thats why I have to buy new speakers. And i enjoyed my experience with CDT, (aside from the tweeter which I realized was a setting) I just want to move up in quality, which is why i'd like to buy again from them.

and thanks for the support scarrell :fing02:

I would sell them if i was confident in their condition, but I'm not aware of how damaged they are (heck im not sure if theyre damaged at all) but I wouldnt want to sell you something that I was unsure about. Sorry :-/

I'm not being negative. But if I buy something, and I don't like the way it sounds, I'm sure as hell not going to buy anything else by the same company. I bought L7's and didn't like them. If Kicker came out with L9's, I wouldn't buy them.... just my stance on things I guess.
