Well guys i have a new used car... Its a 97 Ford Escort LX... The body is in good condition and so is the motor... But the damn thing is barney purple... It was a good deal.. I paid roughly $800 for it. I got this car for the time being because my sister wrecked my old one. The paint on the car is horrible it pealing and everything. So i dont know if i should fix this car up... Or wait untill i gat some money and buy a newer car and fix it up. What do you guys think. Suggestions would be great.

It isn't worth fixing up an $800 car. Just drive it until the wheels fall off, then get a new one. Escorts are a PITA to work on to begin with if anything were to go wrong, as would be any compact car. It isn't like you're going to be making any kind of statement in a 97 Escort anyway, Barney purple or not

yea thats what i thought.... i wasnt planning on it anyways... its just to get to point a and b. The onlything i will probably do to it is put a system in it... Beacuse i can take that out..

heh... i've been putting money into my $500 car... only a system and soon window tint, but hey, still money.

but the difference is my paint is fine and stuff

this guy who lives next door to me fixed up an 86 Buick Century. Tinted the windows, got a new paint job, and dropped about a 1000 in the system and he still drives it today.
