hook up subs

is there anyway to listen to the subs outside of the car? like connect it to the stereo or something?

yeah you need to be more specific? do you mean running them outside in a box? or out of a box? and why do you want to do this? maybe you can find a pic or something?

the subs are in an enclosure. with an amplifier. i wanted to know if you can listen to the subs inside the house. I want to hear them before i install them into my car.

ooooooh.. you mean hooking your subs up to a home reciever? yeah you can do that... just remember they will sound totally different in the car though.. what subs do you have?

two 12" 1000 watt subs. How do I hook it up in the house? I don't know where to start.

does it sound better in a car than in the house?

but what brand of subs? you can hook it up the same as you would to your car amplifier.. and it will be louder in the car ofcourse..

What ohm are the subs? Most home receivers don't handle below a 6 ohm load, so it probably isnt a great idea.

Yeah Justin is right, most home audio speakers and such are more like 8ohm, so you gotta be careful.

my subs handle up to 0dB - 16dB
