Enclosure Question

What box would make the mose spl for one single subwoofer. Ported, bandpass, or a tube enclosure? And I don't care about sq. Thanks!

ported, and tuned. what kind of sub and what kind of power are we talking about here, and car?

Well Bill says bandpass, but they are hard to design because you can easily blow your subs. Ported with a bunch of ports tuned at about 40+ for spl purposes, but I am no expert.

big ass bandpass or a big ass ported box. 12 go with about 3.25cf tuned to 48hz with 4 aero ports. 15 3.75-5.5cf tuned to 48hz wiht 4 4inch aeros. 18 5.5-7.0cf tuned to 48hz with 5-6 4 aero ports. give me a woofer and a car and i can do much better. bandpasses are way to difficult to get right so they probably arnt an option for you.
