Suggestions for new HU

Ill admit my bro's Panasonic is pretty damn nice too and its got lots of Presets, plus free Ipod Adaptor let me see if it has HD and 4v outs

scratch that its not HD and it only has 2.5v outs...

the difference between 2v and 4v isn’t that much. you don’t necessarily need 4v pre outs for better sq. and remeber that is a max rating.

I am trying to get the most out of the outputs though. With 2v... i prolly have to have the gain on an amp just about all the way up. With 5v, it will be not as far up. JL Man, is that Eclipse new or have you used it??

Used, its last years model. Same deck I have in my truck. VERY NICE deck. Highly recommended! It has 8v pre out as well

i like that the eclipse 84454 has 8v ouputs but say i run speakers off of the HU before i get an extra amp, will the 14rms be enough to run or should i go with say a pioneer that has 22rms??

The diffrence between 14 and 22 watts isn't going to make that big a diffrence. I wouldn't worry about it if your only going to use it for a little while.

Honestly i would still go with the Eclipse, but thats just a personal preference. If you plan on getting an amp in the future then i wouldnt mind too much in the short run about the 8w rms less you are gettin. But whichever has more features that you like I would go with that.

Yeah, i figured it wouldnt make a difference and i am planning on using an amp for the fronstage so i shouldnt even worry about the rms on them.

besides that, the eclipse 8445 DOES put out 22 watts rms as well!!! where did you see 14?
