my favorites from back in the day were the ppi pro mos, the ppi art series, the rf punch amps....not the punch dsm stuff, a/d/s power plates, and the old kenwood stuff, kac1020/1021 and the like.......

Old Kenwood? I never figured they put out good amps? I have an old MTX amp i have had since 96. From the birthsheet it was about 20% underrated and it played decent.

I must say it is very tempting to buy some of these old amps i see on Ebay. Only thing i noticed is that a lot of these amps are being put out by repair shops. They buy them, fix em, resell them. Im not sure if that makes them as good as new... But i'm weary since they don't advertise it that way. I almost bought an old soundstream 700sx amp until i realized the ebayer selling it, had bought the thing a month prior and it was being sold as a non-functional unit. How easy are these amps to repair?
