New system

I need some help with trying to put my new sytem together. So I am asking for some assistance. I have a few ideas on what I want to do but I'm not quite sure if they are up to par. I am looking at purchasing one 12" JL Audio Speaker 12W3v3 and I was going to use MTX Thunder TA3404 4 Channel Amplifier. Will I get enough power from this 4 channel to help push this speaker? Or should I go with a mono amp (325 watts, RF Punch Series Monoblock Amplifier)? Or go with two subs and get MTX Thunder TA2301 Mono Subwoofer Amplifier 600 Watts?
Or Should I go with rockford fosgate t112d2 with MTX Thunder TA2301 Mono Subwoofer Amplifier 600 Watts?
Lastly is there a requirment to have a cap even though I have a Linc Navi with a Optumia battery?

You have a Li Nav, and all you want to do is put one 12" in? I would do atleast two 15's. I dunno if you want loud or just a lil bass. But I'd go with two 15's. And no you don't need a cap. I'll reconmend two 15" Type r's, and if you're stuck on a MTX amp, I'd look into their MT1500D, 1400-1700rms amp right there.

Throw that into a ported box and you'll be set.

I am not trying to bang that hard no more. I am trying to get a good overall sound and pretty good sounding bass. Do you think I should go with the 2 JL's or the RF?

how about a 13w6v2 ported with a jl 500/1

Actually.... that would be a great sub. Can't really go wrong with JL's when it comes to sq, everyone knows they are good for it. I would really reccommend you go with a w6v2 though. My brother has an older w3 and it only gets moderatly loud in his Jeep. You have a Navigator to fill with bass.... so i would suggest you step up to a w6v2 or something similar from another brand. I know TC Sounds(eclipse, sound splinter, many other brands) are made to be sq subs that get loud. For their price, they can't be beat. Justin has 2 Elevation Audio SQX's for sale. I havent heard the sqx's, but i have heard the Comps and the Execution(i own one) and they have great sq. My executions has sq very very similar to my brothers w3, except a junk load louder!! So the SQX's might be an option. There are also subs from companies like Adire, Image Dynamics, that have great sq subs that will get loud enough in a Navigation. That is all I can really think of at the moment... kind of exhausted from working out.

If you want great sound equip. for a good sounding system but you also want to crank it up from time to time and know that it will be noticed. I recommend Directed Audio "studio series" these subs are amazing and not a big bank breaker

Also, you can't use that 4 channel MTX with a single sub, unless you are just bridging two of the channels to mono...

I'd go with the two SQX's mentioned above. And a decent 1000 watt rms amp, and you'd be set.
