trying to get started

Post by C-LACKcrew88 »

I'm 16 and trying to get an idea of what I shoud do to my Highlander. I'll be a junior this year and I'd like to put in a system that'll turn a few heads in the parking lot. I am on a fairly tight budget, but i'd rather drop a little extra for something that'll be worth it in the long run. I'm not really sure what kind of setup or layout would be best for my car. Would the Bazooka Party Pack EL10150PP Dual 10" Enclosure w/ ELA150.1 Amp & ELW1014.2 Subwoofers be a good start? How is the Audiobahn ABB102N Dual 10" Loaded Enclosure?

Any suggestions on other items I should pick up, or layouts would be helpful...and much needed.

Then we will both see you in the police station, filling out a theft report cause someone else in that parking lot thought your systems combined would be best in his beat up chevy.

as for a first system, do what I am doing with my son's car, go cheap, but with decent gear. I would take the bazooka's over audiobomb any day of the week and twice on Thursday.

Yeah, if you are really gonna show off in the parking lot, I would spend as little money as possible. You will need it to purchase a new system after you get ripped, and also need it to pay for your noise pollution tickets you get. It is for this reason some states are trying to impose bans on the amount of power, and size of subs you can have in your vehicle. Not to sound like a geezer, and I am not, I am not much older than you guys, but come on, have fun, but allow the rest of us to enjoy....

Comps on a 1000w amp.... maybe Kicker CVR's on a 1000w amp. There is also Alpine Type R's that are similar to the Kickers. Sinister Audio is having a sale on RE Audio and American Bass. American Bass stuff would get loud for you. He has the American Bass DX212 package for cheap. It comes with 2 DX12's and a box made by American Bass. He said that he hit 140.5 with these in a truck on low watts. If you got something like 700-1000w for them, you would be golden.
