Keep the steering wheel controls?

A friend of mine asked me if it was possible to replace the factory radio with an after market deck and still use the controls the steering wheel has for skipping tracks etc. I'm pretty certain it can be done but have no idea what needs to be bought to make it happen. Can someone please help me out with this?

Ya, it can be done on most cars.
This is the oneI've seen Listed.

Not sure how good it works though.
