i support the local shops that are willing to work with me, those who feel the need to try to steal my money are rediculous, charge an idiot 950 for a jl w7 i dont want it, now if you can give me a decent deal like my local shop did with 8 jl audio w3s for a little less than 160 a piece we can negotiate. i will let them make a good profit just not an outlandishly big one.

the problem here is your trying to buy jl audio.....its good stuff but i firmly believe there is equaly good stuff for less and better stuff for less or the same money, but, jl has done such a good job marketing itself that the dealers think they are selling audible orgasms......i have had jl and in fact the last big system i had was all jl...but that being said i was dissapointed in the subs for what i paid for them....the xr650 component set on the other hand was incredible but the monoblocks to me are a dissapointment and the stereo and 4 channel amps sound good but holy crap! bring the bank ifyou want one.......it sounds like you found a local shop to treat you right though.....youd be surprised how little profit there is in some lines of equipment.......recently kicker became available to me......i feel for a comp 10 that about 89 bucks is what i would want to pay as a customer for the sub......you say you are willing to let them make a little profit but not an outlandish one? if i sold you a comp 10 for 89........id maybe put a 20 dollar bill in the bank......after shipping and paying for the sub.....

so basically in an audio shop most of the profit is giong to be made doing installs then..... unless you're the only shop and can get away with marking up the price.

and yeah i like JL but the prices are pretty high. i ran jl in my first system. it was decent stuff but pricey. if i was smart i would have returned it and bought a RE SE and a JBL 600.1 that was for sale here.. dammit.

woofersetc removes all serial numbers from the products they sell, so there is absolutely no way you can warranty any product you buy from them through the manufacturer. They carry their own warranty, and you can purchase another shitty warranty too if you want more coverage. But you will never get the coverage that the original manufacturer will give you.

Before I was sponsored by Focal, I had blown a 33v2 subwoofer, and through the warranty and the Rep, I was able to get a brand new one off the shelf and returned to me in a matter of minutes. With woofersetc, you have to pay for shipping to them, and they will send you the same shit back to you at your cost. I was out of pocket zilch with Focal. Beat that.
