Yea. I built a whole plywood and 2x4 frame, which you can partly see in those pictures, so that I could PREVENT this from happening. I have NO problem with over packing. I took MY materials and time to put that together, yet to no avail.
Most of these drivers and truck packers don't CARE about their job or your stuff. I've had friends who were drivers and packers and they've told me some horror stories. I'm sure it's the same with every shipping company.

The only thing that really ticks me off is I know a lot of people that work for UPS. My brother and about 6 other people I know work there. It is literally 2 minutes down the road from my house. Second largest hub in the US.

I personally work for FedEx. I knew I should have got you to ship it FedEx even though it would have cost more.

Screw the wooded crates... too easily damaged and with the stuff inside...
I use styrofoam, paper, cardboard, bubble wrap, and packing noodles... this way that stuff has some give and it can take the beating rather than the items.

Terry, I'm suprised you didn't push the driver off the top of your building with your foot :p

This is so very common.

And I feel so very bad also. Cause when I was reading the post about it and the box for free but extra shipping, I was going to tell you NOT to ship the sub mounted in the box for this very reason.

I failed. Sorry.

Dammit I hate being so busy.

Anyways, the VC is probaboy junk. The only useable part is the motor structure, the rest is jjjjj junk.

If it wasnt to bad, he might be able to JB weld the basket back together. But by the way it looks, it dropped enough to damage the coil.

i dont know if it damaged the coil if it fell to one side then its screwed. and jbwelding the basket wouldnt work because you would never be able to put it back exactly in alignment.

I have a hot glue gun you could use! Sorry, I know its not funny to you solace. I'm sure you can get it reconed for reasonable price.

Does the rebasket/recone include the VC and everything too? I'm over being pissed about it now. There's nothing anyone can do but try to get it reconed and see what UPS will pay for.

Not your fault Ryan, it's always a learning process. Phthisis is being awesome about it as well, so that helps.

I emailed Fi and I emailed RE so far. I'm waiting to hear back to see who will be able to rebasket/recone it. Bill also recommended I contact TC Sounds to see if they can do it. I'll get the estimate, let UPS know, and see where it goes from there.
