no not more ways = better.
when we say 3-ways are good we mean component systems, not triaxial speakers.
If you want simple, good speakers go with two-way separate components in front and a single midrange on each side in back. no rear tweeters of any sort.
read the FAQ section on rear fill speakers, and on system design/choosing the right speakers.
rear tweeters are just too bright. they drag the sound stage to the rear, and mess with imging and balance causing the audio to "float" and lose separation.
what are some good speaker companies for loud bright music?
is kenwood, pioneer, or infinity good? im not fans of most of their other stuff but theyre some of the only companies i can find to suit 6 3/4"
i want something around $100 no more than $150

You'll be fine with Infinity Kappas (most consider the tweeters very bright) or Pioneers. 6 1/2" rounds might fit in that spot. An installer on here might be able to tell you if you give your car make/model.
alright, because at this point i am satisfied with the amount of bass with my diamond 12" d6. i was just trying to find some speakers that arent necessarily made for bass, but some that are loud enough to be heard over the bass.
sorry about that postin problem, somethin was wrong earlier with the server and it kept freezing and i didnt think that it posted.
