Do MA Audio subs suck???

I've seen good reviews for their subs and same for Audiobahn subs and why do people on here say they suck. Just wondering because I'm on a budget but at the same time I don't want something that the bass sounds like crap.

We say they suck because of failure rate probably mostly due to the users. And they are made very cheaply. I had a pair of MA audio 10's one "froze up" so I gutted it, and all the soft parts felt like paper. With Abahn you're really paying for chrome and nothing else.

What is your budget;

MA and Bahn have many products that are not built any better in quality than many of your lower level lines and give you nothing more for your money than "Bling"... Keep in mind I AM an Ma Audio and Audiobahn dealer I'll recommend some of the Ma stuff to customers on a budget, but I try and steer them clear of Bahn unless they're building something purely for show and want that extra touch of chrome.
As Matt asked, What's your budget? We can probably help point you in a good direction, with the added plus that many people here sell some really good used equipment and there are Terry (smoker) and myself that are dealers for a ton of products.

I just want something that has good bass. Im looking towards 2 12" sub or 3 10" subs. I'm also thinking of getting 2 Type R's or 1 of them in a ported box or something like that. I want something with nice bass and from about 1000-1500 watts around there.

Might I make a suggestion... If you're looking for some good bass and you have enough room for 2-12" or 3-10", why not look into one 15" sub that can handle the same amount of power (1000-1500wrms)... You then get the best of both worlds as you'll be able to afford a better single sub to handle the power and at the same time get the same if not better bass and sound

What's your budget on equipment and do you already have the amp?

$300-400 and no amp maybe a 15 would be a good choice

For a really good sub that can handle the power and sound really good I would recommend the Fusion NVSW15 and then you've got enough left over for the amp

i think thats too much 4 me im lookn for about 750-1000rms anything higher would b too much 4 me

the sub wattage has nothing to do with the output. the wattage is related to the thermal capacity of the voice coil of the sub. just because it says 1500w or whatever does'nt mean you will get that much output or you need to put that much power on the woofer
