It WAS NOT a permanent install....i just needed to power up the unit to unlock it.... The speaker wires weren't even connected.... Just taped off... Sigh i just have to buy a new head unit... My luck after i buy a new HU the eclipse will start working again...

You didnt tell me you were going to rock the dual cd player for a while... and since you couldnt buy a dash kit you were going to just "stick it in the whole"?
man, i had the dual cd player in there for like 3 hrs.... My stock tape/radio sounded better with a tape player attachment to it....iwaslike bump that andput the stock onw back in.

Do me a favor, when you install the new hu, take pictures (or make a video) of the entire process and send it too me....
That goes for anyone installing anything... Take a video/pics and post them on youtube/cardomain and send me a link..
