honestly, i'm trying it as a last-ditch effort before i ditch the deck. i figure that they're cheap, and if it's some sort of grounding issue (i'm only using the factory ground in the truck) then possibly the noise filter will stop it. i guess if it's hopeless i won't even bother...i just really don't have the money to fork out to replace the deck and i'd hate to replace it only to find out later it was something simple. but, as i mentioned in the other post...i'm definitely a nooB when it comes to car audio...so maybe this is a dumb idea anyhow.

if you are having noise filter problems you should diagnose the rest of your sound system also. as glasswolf said a filter just masks the problem
