Just remember if you get an XM or Sirius tuner for your HU - it's tied to the HU, meaning you can only listen to XM or Sirius in your car... unless you buy a whole separate receiver for your house, and pay for a separate account for that tuner.
That's why the portable tuners with docking stations are so popular - you only pay one monthly subscription fee, and you can listen to it wherever you dock it... car, home office... they even make portable "boombox" type things.

^like Geo said... If you want to have sat radio in the car... whether your parents have it or not... you will still pay for the additional account, so you have to keep that into consideration too.

yeah i know, my parents have the seperate unit for it that they bring in and out of the house, but i dont need that, i'd rather have it in the h/u so there its looks cleaner in my truck...but i have a feeling im not gonna do a dvd player, ill prob. just stick with the pioneer i had picked out and go with sirius
