because they are damn fine amps... i just dont get y people put them down...
I'm sure lots of ppl have never used them...etc. You're the only person who uses one on here Bill, so you're the only word of opinon....So you better have all the facts right when it's just you vrs us...lol

So are you arguing quality or for the money?
Or let's put it this way. If you were given either a MM1000.1 or a JL 1000/1, which one would you take? Amp vs. amp, based on performance and build quality.
There is a point of diminishing returns in everything, be it amplifiers, speakers, subwoofers, whatever. The poorest values to be had are either dirt cheap or insanely expensive, with a few values in between that are notable. Commercial products are a great testament to that. "High value" products achieve their pricing in a few ways. It's either built with cheap componentry or with cheap labor. You can either have a product that is consistently crappy, or you can have a potentially good product that is inconsistent in build, or you can have a product that's bad on both ends. Once you start upping your standards, you're going to have to account for both the labor involved and also the scrapped products that didn't make the grade. This is when your product doesn't offer bang for the buck and is "overpriced".
If you look at a decent performing speaker for little cost, say the Dayton drivers, you'll see that they perform pretty well. They're cheaper than the European drivers (say SEAS, Scan-speak, Peerless, etc.). If you bought 5 or 6 of them and tested all you'd find all are very different from one another. On the other hand the european manufacturers mentioned above put out products are are highly consistent and perform extremely well. The difference is that you pay for it, but peace of mind is worth it IMO.
It all boils down to the saying "You get what you pay for". While overpricing is quite common in the audio world, you can't make a good performer for a miracle price. The real question is how much you have to pay to get a given level of performance and the product be acceptable.

im arguing both i will send you a pm about my statements. i know for a fact that the jl 1000/1 and the mm1000/1 were built in the same build house using many of the same parts and i will forward you information to back up the previous statments. the autotek has a great price per watt were the jl capatalized on a great reputation.

its not that its just that i dont like when people claim that this stuff isnt good stuff or it doesnt stack up so i do the research to prove it i spoke directly with the vp of design at maxxsonics and that is the information he gave me. y is it so hard to belive that something can stack up to jl? that doesnt cost as much as a small car?
