ok so i can get my jl 500/1 fixed for a lil over 120 dollars by this repair company bill told me about. or i can get one of 2 hifonics amps. both are under 200 shipped. the brutus bxi606 or the zues zxi 6006. the zues is an A/B 600 x 1 @ 4 ohms. and the brutus is a "Super Class D" 600 x 1 @ 1 ohm. would the class make a difference?
all the diffrence is gonna be current draw and temp. the class ab will be a little cleaner than class d but will run hotter and suck more current. CIA quoted u? everyone is gonna freak because you suggested dumping your jl for hifonics but i dont see any issues with it. im sure gonz will have a coniption but either of those will run a sub just fine. there made for subs not for speakers were the amp would make a huge diffrence i quote kiki a watt is a watt.
oh ok, yeah cia said about 120 to fix it and pay for shipping back to me. as for the class ab sucking more current, would the d suck more too because it would be ran at 1 ohm?
the zues will draw much more current than either the jl or the brutus it looks as if jl has the same class d technology that hifonics uses so i would say those are about the same.
