Ghosts

Post by Ryan from Ohio »

Sure I think its highly possible but not as probable as some people think they area.

While on vacation we stopped at the infamous Malabar Farm. Home of Louis Bromfield, which Im fairly sure most of us never heard of.

We took the tour through "The Big House". At the end the three of us were pulled aside for a small ghost story.

Evidently this guy, Louis, kept boxer dogs. He had 4 of them and they roamed the house and yard freely.

Anyways a few years back the Ranger, who was giving the tour, took a picture of the house through the window. In it was a ghostly image of a Boxer dog. Insert his photo here... The photo he had looked like it was a copy from a copy machine. Poor quality- black and white stuff. Anyways you could make out what he was talking about- but since the quality sucked I wasnt a believer.

So I took a few pics through the windows with my digital. TO say the least in this pic Im a bit shocked.

You guys know me. You know the limits on my paint shop/photo chop skills. You know I suck at that stuff and Im limited to cartoon type things. SO yes the pics unaltered and is 100% undoctored, unsized, un named as it came off the mem card!

If you look in the bottom section, second pane up and in from the left... There is two beedy eyes. The outline is there and is very faint- but there. The ears, head, the muzzle/painted white area... Again its faint, but its there.

Notice there's another "beedy eye" in the top left of the window?

It's difficult to see past the reflection of the house behind you. The lights are coming from inside the house though, they're not a reflection. I'm pretty sure of that. With the silk curtain in the window, combined with the reflections from outside, it's difficult to get a fix on the lights. However, they're probably just prop lights inside to go along with the ghost story.

Well hers the thing...

We toured the house. What your seeing as lights inside are not. The two from the dog... Thats a doorway there and an upstairs room.

The Malabar Farm is an official State of Ohio Park. Its not some side show attraction. Its run by Park Rangers. So the thought of stage lighting/special FX isnt possible. Plus as I said, we just got done touring the house- including that room.

And Silk curtains? The only curtains in them windows are the green/white checkered ones. The glass appeared to be smooth and transparent from inside. However the house was built in the mid-late 1930's... So the glass maybe inst perfectly flat. The only thing behind us where pictures were taken was a barn, chicken coup , elevator silo and misc. farming area. No lights... It was 5 PM and sunny out...

Insert X Files music here.

Just to show the full house, not just a window:

Further out to show barns:

That picture with the "dog" I took was the upper window (I think) in the middle or right on the left side- where there are 3 windows.
