Infinity Reference Basslink II 250-Watt, Dual 10" Powered Subwoofer - Need Help!!!

Man I am having a headache adjusting these settings. Please click on the below link to see how my sub-woofer looks like. Click on the image once again for bigger size to see the knobs. Below I have listed the settings just incase if it is still not clear. Can you please tell me where I should put the knobs of all 3 settings? I am trying to get a good clear bass and can't seem to find it. If you had this woofer in your car/suv, how would you set it? I listen to lot of Remixes, Hip Hop, Dance, Break beat etc. but not looking for a huge rattling. I am more confused over "crossover and bass boost" settings. Please help.

Currently I have Crossover @ 120 HZ and Bass Boost -6 (which is like off) & Gain just behind left of that Middle.

Settings:

Gain: Min - Max
Crossover Frequency: 50Hz to 120Hz
Bass Boost: -6dB to +3dB @ 40Hz

X-Over should be set around 80.

Bass Boost should be at 0.

Gain needs to be set to match the output of your head unit. Do a search on setting gains.

^^^^ this, the crossover points are to high and I'm sure the bass boost is up also so it's just adding to the muddiness. Set your gain to 0 & x-over to 60 or 80, turn the volume up to where you play it and slowly turn it up till you get a good blend, now play with the x-over to fine tune on your liking. The bass boost is there to boost the Hz. that you set it to, you could play with it and see what you like but most don't use it at all or max it out and makes it sound like garbage just have to find that happy medium. Hope this helps if you haven't gotten it to sound right yet
