Mid placement and aiming

So, I'm almost to the point of buying my front speakers. 8" legatias for the doors, tweets in the A pillars. Now I'm torn between 3" in A pillars with the tweets, which will look bulky but gets the miss up out of the kicks. Or, 4" in the kicks. Slighlty better speaker, more on-axis able, knees in the way, etc. Anybody have any thoughts? Pros, cons, etc. Or another idea all together to consider. Will probably order the speakers within the next 4 to 6 weeks. I'll be at the NCO academy for six weeks and want to start the build as soon as I'm out. I hope everyone had a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Edit: I should also mention I'll be using my MS-8, so time alignment issues will be handled.

If you have mids in the doors and tweets in the a pillars then you need nothing else.

Hit me up with your number again. I'm pretty swamped this weekend, but headed to the NCO academy Sunday. So I should have some free time soon. I still haven't packed yet either. My car is more important than the academy I guess. :) lol. I'm headed to Sheppard for the academy, aren't you in that neighborhood?

With an MS-8, I'd focus on getting mids that are wider/closer to the edges of the car, rather than worrying too much about having them set up for center imaging. Unless you're really concerned with two seat listening. I'd say it's especially important with that processor since center imaging is well taken care of. Pillars would be good, high door and further to the outside would be even better.

It's all good. I still haven't given Jeremy a call. I've been tied up with so many things. I haven't worked on my car in months. I also came down on orders to England. So, I'll be headed across the pond one more time. I'm on my last enlistment. I'll be able to retire after this one.

Anway, regarding the post ... I appreciate the input. :) lol. If/when I ever get around to finishing my car, I'll be sure to fill everyone in on how it goes ...

And Jeremy ... I still plan to call you ... I just don't known when. Hopefully soon. I want my car done before I ship it to England.

Then you better hurry up. I'm on terminal leave, and basically just screwing around. A couple more weeks and I will actually start looking for a new job.

Oh and FYI. Seeing the TSgt from finance who got a bronze star for setting on her ass makes me even happier i pulled chocks. I hate the direction the AF is heading.

No kidding? whas that your choice or was that made for you? I feel you on the dumb stuff. I'm in public affairs, I have to see all that stuff. all the airman of the quarter bs, peformer of the month, etc., it's all BS. In public affairs, we can't deploy until we've been in 3 years because we typically go to one deep shops or close to it. I know the guys at the pentagon who do our deployment stuff so I called them and was able to waiver one of my airmen so he could deploy. He spent 7 months with the 101st airborne in Afghanistan on convoys and whatnot covering their efforts, etc. So I put him in for BTZ and he lost because he didn't have enough volunteer time compared to some bitch who washed a bunch of cars or some shit. I have no faith in the system.

With an MS-8, I'd concentrate on getting mids that are wider/closer to the sides of the car, rather than concerning too much about having them set up for middle picture. Unless you're really worried with two chair hearing. I'd say it's especially essential with that processer since middle picture is well taken proper excellent care of. Support beams would be excellent, great entrance and further to the outside would be even better.
