2013 Equinox LS

So I picked up a new 13 Equinox.

Nice ride but the audio is simply horrible. The tweeters are muddy and lack any form of detail. No bass, none at all. Actually it sounds like a horrible install where the speakers are just flapping in the wind.

Theres a stock sub option. It is rumored the 4 cylinder models still have the subwoofer present however it only provides the noise cancellation feature. The sub is only like 7" too...

I have my Rainbows which i never installed. Have the Hertz HDP-5 and of course the 15" Sundown SA.

Initial thought is a JL clean sweep or similar quality interface. Install the amp and Rainbows. Replace the rear door speakers. Buy a replacement sub and cut it apart, custom glass for a single 10".

Sounds like a plan. Just be sure to pus some dampening in there when you have it apart :-)

Well after some deliberation Ive decided to just part ways with the audio I got (once again). I already sold the sundown locally.

I got the Rainbow SLC 265.25 NG BNIB and a Hertz HDP-5 amp I want gone.

If one of you regulars buy it pay pal as a GIFT I will ship it all for free.
