New here, had a couple questions.

Ok, first off do any of you have any idea what these wires are for? The wires are all in my trunk and seem to be ran threw the body of the car. Could i save some money and use these wires if they are the right one? And i have no idea what the black wires are, look like some that i would hook a battery to lol. Just got the car and VERY new to sound systems and other stuff like that. And second... I have a 1998 ford mustang, was wondering if any of yall could throw me some tips on what size box and subs I should use and what not. And since im getting new subs, and a head unit should i go ahead and get new speakers?

Hi,
Welcome to the forum, in the first pick the RCA wires are your signal wires. The blue one is your remote turn on wire, it tells the amp to turn on/off.
The remaining 4 are your speaker wires. In the second pic, those are your power and ground wires, one should be hooked to your battery with a fuse a few inches away from the terminal.

I would personally take the wires out an inspect them to make sure there are no kinks or shorts. I would also buy some better RCA wires, those look like some cheap ones.

Already have another question.... What is the difference in regular car speakers and component speakers?

Component speakers are normally a separate mid and tweeter with a crossover. They require more power to sound good, (added cost) but can sound WAY better than your average car set.

Ok thanks Jeremy. Didnt know if i should get them or not. May just get some 6x8 component speakers for the back for now until i have more money saved up

Do not get components for the back. Its just a waste of money installed behind you. Spend the extra money on a better set for the front and an amp.

I haven't installed rear speakers in a car in over 15 years. I probably will in my next car, but only because if have a processor that can run 5.1 surround.
