I have 3 Sundown 8" SD dvc subs. Each coil is 4 ohms and I need a 2 ohm load on my amp. According to an ohm calculator, a mix of parallel and series wiring will give me 2.6 ohm load on the amp...is this correct? The confusing part for me is trying to picture how I'll wire all that. Every time I think I have a wiring diagram right in my head, I quickly get myself confused when I go to do it. I want a pretty picture I can print out.
Even just a quick drawing in MS paint or something after lots of coffee would be fine as well. I just need a visual.

lol, perfect. Hell I was even at RF's website among a few others looking at their diagrams and didn't see that one. duh
Just to clarify...the Negative lead connecting to the Positive lead is going from one voice coil to the other right and not the same coil? Just wanted to make certain.
Also, the amp is a JL Audio XD. It's 600 watts at 2 ohm and 400 at 4 ohm so it's probably what maybe 550 watts at 2.6?
I'm going to mount the amp inside the box and use a couple of quick release connectors and a security cable to make it tough for thieves that ignore the alarm so I can take the box out in a hurry if I need to. The quick release part will be interesting since no one really makes such a thing for car amps except Vibe but they don't sell it in the states anymore. Thinking of using a 240 volt electrical male and female connector which should accept the 4 awg cables and an extension cord end for the RCA connection.....should be interesting to see how this turns out.
