What kind of system can I get or can I?

My car which is an escort zx2 and the factory stereo is half of my dash and I was wanting to put a stereo in, but I think that may be impossible. What does everyone think?

I sure do hate this trend of OEMS doing this type of stuff.
But I believe there is an option for that car, I found this kit that allows you to put one in.

Thank you, I did not realize you can actually buy something for this. With this I can purchase that from Ebay and then insert what ever type of stereo I want. Thank you so much!!

I think so, but have not used one personally.

I'm not sure what work is involved but yes, you should be able to install any single din sized radio into it.

ok great! I am so tired of the cheap factory radio in my car. Who ever had it before me had put a 6 disc cd changer in the trunk - but not complaining about that! lol

Yeah it can be a bummer dealing with the regular radio that comes with your vehicle. It can be difficult to get your first system put in, but once you do it the next time will be that much easier. Each vehicle is different in some ways, but the process can be repeated after you're aware of what you're doing!
