Beginner Looking for a Little Help Choosing Components

I have replaced all four speakers and receiver in my truck with what I consider amazing compared to the factory setup. Now I'm to the point where I need a little bass. And I mean "a little", I have a standard cab Ford Ranger so something small (8-10") and it has to be a shallow mount sub. I'm looking at a pioneer sub that has 150w rms and 600w max svc 2 ohm for $70.

The amp is a bit more of a confusing component for me to look for. I assume I don't need any thing with more than 600w max and 150w rms, correct? What tech specs do I need to find?

Welcome to the forum.

So for amps, you only want to look at the RMS rating, don't even worry about the MAX rating since it doesn't mean anything. You are correct, try and look for one that matches your sub. Are you just wanting one sub right?

The shallow mounts I've had mixed results, I need one in my 4Runner and I currently have a Pioneer one but it's blown. When building a box for them, make sure the specs are exact. They don't require much air space, and when I made mine I think I made it to big.

Yeah, I'm only wanting one sub. And it needs to be a shallow mount because I'm in a Ford Ranger so there's no space to spare. This is the sub in looking at.
