Making speakers quieter

So, I just got my new budget tweeters and connected them to my amp in parallel to two mid-speakers. The thing is, the tweeters are now too loud, and I lack the mids. Just wanted to know if there is any easy way to make them a bit quieter?
If not, I guess I'll have to disconnect them, and save for some mid speakers in the mean time.

You've made a technical error, your tweeters should be connected through a passive crossover along with the mids, or to separate channels on the amp or a different amp, or to the headunit if nothing else is available. Tweeters are generally WAY more sensitive and require much less power than mids.

Yeah, forgot to mention, I did use capacitors as crossovers on both tweeters.

You'll still need them on separate channels (head unit or amp) to adjust their levels separately from the mids. Or you could get some audio type resistors and wire them inline with the tweets, I completely forgot about that trick. Get an assortment (2,4,8 ohms) of non-inductive high-power resistors and see which one gets your levels close.
