SQ component decision

I'm new to the board and to car audio. I'm looking for some 2-way 6.5" components for a 4Runner that I will soon own. My budget allows for $300, preferably $200-$250. I'm shifting focus from home audio to car audio, so I have an idea of what I want in a speaker. The set will be focused strictly on sound quality. I like accurate, natural sound and I prefer silk tweeters. After browsing around the web and various forums (including this one), here's what I came up with:

Rainbow Audio - Sound or Dream Line - CSX 265, SLX 265 (Deluxe), SLC 265
DLS - B6, PS6, R6A
CDT Audio - CL-61

I have never heard any of these sets, and will probably have to make a decision without doing so. Also, I'm assuming these (or at least some of these) fall within my price range. I would appreciate any opinion/suggestion/information that you have to offer. Thanks.

those all should be pretty decent sets i like the DLS cause i sell them but Rainbow is great and i have heard CDT is great too.

I have owned a couple sets of CDT comps and I wouldnt put the CL61's in with the others. The CL61's can be had for $130 from an authorized dealer. You would be more in the range of CDT EF series...maybe even with tweeter and xover upgrades. Probably hit you at about $230. Let me know if you want info on a good dealer.

I haven't heard the others.

sinister: Can you give me an idea of the prices on the different lines of DLS speakers?

lotas: Once I narrow down my choices, I'll let you know if I need a CDT dealer recommendation.

I believe there is a price list in the FAQ's for DLS.

like lotas said, if your budget is $300, look for higher end CDT.

I have owned Rainbow and CDT.

Rainbow carries a premium price. I think you get a lot for your $ with CDT.

DLS looks nice but never heard them...
