Amp and Speakers

Im done upgrading my subs and amp, now its time for the speakers to be updated. Some advice on this would be great. Ill start off with what I have.
- Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X589 Head Unit
- Hifnonics BX1605D Mono Amplifier
- (2) 12" Alpine Type R (Dual 2ohm) Subs
What Im looking to get:
6.5 Speakers

The sub/amp setup looks good. I love the new Hifonics amps, but their coaxial/component sets suck. i would consider something else..maybe the Alpine Type S coaxials. I like them for the money.

What do I look for when choosing coaxials/components?

How do I decide which ones will work best for me?
